CACR annual report
The Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research interweaves technical and policy expertise when it comes to cybersecurity. They asked us to re-design their annual report/strategic plan for ease of distribution, both online and print. Limited budget, scarce imagery, and a tight deadline were the main challenges.
Not having many good or relevant images, I decided to use typography to break the space in the page and draw the reader in to key phrases, giving them an in to the rest of the text. Two color print was another parameter, so that limited what we could do to flood backgrounds or create textures.
Using block quotes and well placed images to break each page into a different layout, establishing a grid came handy when thinking about cohesion throughout the piece. Keeping the reader engaged from page to page was most important.
